This ongoing photographic project documents the everyday lives of Turkish, Kurdish, and Turkish Cypriot communities living in North London. Shaped by decades of migration from Turkey, these communities have become an integral part of the city’s social and cultural fabric, while often remaining underrepresented in visual narratives of Britain.
Through portraits, community events, and everyday moments, the project explores questions of belonging, identity, and solidarity within the diaspora. The work focuses not only on shared traditions and spaces but also on the diversity within these communities, including voices that are often overlooked.
By working closely with people and photographing within homes, streets, and community spaces, the project aims to create an intimate visual record of a community that continues to shape North London.
